Favourite Weekend of May!

My Saturday started out most amazingly. Shawn and I took a cab from his place to Chinatown. In the cab, I removed my sunglasses and placed them on the seat next to me. After alighting, I realized that I had completely forgotten about my sunglasses. The cab was already almost 500m away at the next traffic light, about to move off. I had absolutely no idea what the taxi’s number plate was, did not even remember what company the cab was from. I was in complete shock at my stupidity and foolishness. The fact that that pair was my 22nd birthday present from Shawn added to my despair. With all hope gone, I gave my bag one last good ransack. And lo and behold, my sunglasses were actually dangling from my bag strap. How amazing and gracious is our God to actually surprise me like this! I was so happy and touched, I started crying. He knew that losing my sunglasses would really upset me and spoil the entire weekend.

Headed to Chinatown in search of a farewell present, but we ended up at Ann Siang first. I was on some kind of high after the sunglasses incident. First stop: Forget-me-not!

Super happy with his buy from Sifr the day before!

Stumbled upon an ultra mini thieves market, love hidden finds and am glad that Shawn was equally excited about it (:

One last thing that I absolutely have to share! Its too good to keep to myself! My computer’s audio system was down the entire day, and I’ve tried all sorts of methods to restore it. I’ve tried slamming it, pushing against the audio part of my computer, restarting my computer at least five times, but to no avail. The sound simply refused to come on. Running Man has been released, and I really want to watch it!!! So five minutes ago (it is 11pm now, that is how long I have been trying), I decided to restart my computer again. With faith as tiny as a mustard seed, I declared that Lord, You are for me. Nothing can be against me. Not even my silly computer can be against me.You are on my side!” Not expecting anything, my computer restarted, I logged in, and THE SOUND IS BACK! Wow! Praise the Lord for He is good, His mercy endures forever! The Lord knows and understands this small desire of mine to watch Running Man, He wants me to be happy, He is for me! One small little desire to have the sound back on, one tiny complain and cry, the Lord hears. What more great desires of the heart! So this weekend, it seems that the Lord is reminding me, that small little tiny things, like forgetting about my sunglasses and a spoilt computer, He takes care of. He takes care of everything, from the littlest thing to the bigger things in life. I am well taken care of! I just signed a contract for my first ever proper job today, I am excited for greater things to come!!
