BEING A TOURIST!

My friend from Singapore is here! This gave me a good excuse to pretend to be a tourist in Perth and to whip out my camera to take pictures of everything and anything with no shame. Also, I’ll be leaving this place in two weeks, so this gives me the opportunity to relive Perth all over again. I am so sad, I have really fallen in love with this city and its laid-back lifestyle. AND THE WEATHER!!! and the blue skies, the beaches, the rivers, the food, the cafes, the animals, the enormous supermarkets where I can spend ages in, the little vintage shops too. Well, since my friend was here, I also fulfilled my dream of visiting the famous wombat at Caversham Wildlife Park. I’ve seen pictures of Neil the wombat and have been dying to meet him ever since.

I wanted the little red indian tea set so badly, but it was a whooping $80 AUD ):

And then we arrived at Caversham Wildlife Park about 30 minutes later (from Leederville), the weather was dreary and wet. But was not going to let that dampen our mood!

Children were throwing food pellets into this donkey’s mouth, because as you can tell, his teeth were pretty intimidating. I would probably know since my poor fingers were bitten by a horse before, I wouldnt even use the word “bitten”, they were probably chomped on. And I have no one else to blame but myself. The instructor specifically said never to curl our fingers while feeding the horse, we’re meant to have them all spread open with the food pellets on the palm. Because I am so used to having my dog eat from my hand with my fingers curled, I instinctively did that the moment the horse’s mouth touched my palm and my fingers probably looked/ felt like carrot sticks to him ): I couldnt feel my fingers for the rest of the day.

We spent about two hours at Caversham and finally got frustrated with the weather. Decided to head to San Churros at Northbridge for tea time. So sinful but so good.

The rain finally stopped (but it has since started again) so we ended the day with Broadway pizza by Matilda Bay!

Okay, back to studying!
